The Team at Tadpole Academy
At Tadpole Academy, we hold our teachers to high standards and only employ teachers that we would trust caring for our own children. We require all of our educators to be certified through the Delaware Department of Education as a teacher or an assistant teacher and to be certified in CPR/First Aid and Administration of Medication. Lauren, one of the co-owners, has a strong medical background and recently became certified as a First Aid/CPR instructor through the American Red Cross.

Melissa has over sixteen years of childcare experience, including previous management experience at a large, corporate childcare center. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family.

Leapers 2 (2-3 years)
We see learning as a lifelong process, not only for our children but also for our teachers. As a management team, we support our teachers in achieving their professional goals to the best of our abilities. We require each of our teachers to participate in professional development trainings each year that are recognized by the Delaware Institute for Excellence in Early Childhood (DIEEC) as being quality-assured. Our center is unique in that we hold quarterly in-service days where we work with our teachers closely on strengthening our team of professionals and address how to better meet the needs of our children and families.
Crystal and Lauren combine over 25 years of successful business management experience. Their experiences in the areas of Early Childhood Education, Medical, Legal and Staffing has equipped them with a well-rounded vision for Tadpole Academy. Their educational background includes University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, Western International University, Kaplan University, Ashford University and University of Phoenix. They are committed to excellence in serving the children entrusted to their care and in building a supportive, positive relationship within the community.
